TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
There are two primary objectives for component 3, which is focused on training and development.
- Provide training and employment support services and
- Increase CBSP community members’ knowledge and confidence to take part in:
- CBS Fund and other economic development activities and
- Skills and income generate abilities in both formal and informal sectors.
There are 3 subcomponents to support the objectives which are:
- Literacy and Numeracy Development.
- Livelihood, and work readiness and life skills training.
- Employment support and referral services.
Beneficiaries for this program will be targeted and include:
- Certified residents of benefits sharing area including eligible members of Bahomea and Malango
- Community Benefit Sharing Trust Fund Association, whether they are living in the benefit sharing area or not.
- 800 individual trainees (or 1320 training spaces) of adult women, men and youths in the CBSP communities.
The implementation arrangement will occur with the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification (MMERE) in partnership with external training providers as well as:
- CBSP Project Management Unit (PMU) Training and Jobs Officer, with support from World Bank technical team, consultants and other specialist engaged as needed and
- Partnership with key stakeholders including Tina Hydropower Limited (THL) Hyundai Engineering Company (HEC) and the Tina River Project Office.
