The CBSPII works alongside the Tina River Hydropower Development Project (TRHDP) to help communities in the Tina catchment area access improved infrastructure, services, and community benefits.

Key Qualifications

Proven experience in project management and evaluation, especially with World Bank or donor-funded projects.
Strong background in public finance, budgeting, and governance systems.
Experience with field research, stakeholder consultations, and report writing.
Relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.

Your Role

As Electrical Engineer – Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Electrical Manager during the construction phase, supporting technical operations and ensuring smooth implementation of electrical systems for this landmark project.

What We’re Looking For

Degree in Electrical Engineering (4 years)
1–2 years’ experience in hydro or related projects (fresh graduates welcome!)
Valid Solomon Islands Driver’s Licence
Hands-on knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance & troubleshooting
Familiarity with hydropower systems: generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, power distribution, and more

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in design review, approvals, and implementation
• Support wiring, cable laying, and conduit work
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and government authorities
• Report progress and collaborate on resource planning

• Candidates from Bahomea and Malango Region
• Solomon Islands Nationals
