Exciting progress under CBSP2! The Antioch Road improvement project, funded at nearly SBD 1.3 million, is now 80% complete with full completion expected by mid-August.
Despite ongoing construction, the road is already making a difference—providing safe and easy access for vehicles and commuters from Antioch to the main road into town. It’s also been a vital link for cultural festivities and community events in recent weeks.
What makes this project truly special is the community’s direct involvement through a community contract. Since construction began in April, locals have taken full ownership, with half of the workforce being women who show up every day to build their road.

A big shoutout to everyone involved for making this a model of community-driven development!
